CEO IndiaTech

Dhiraj Gyani is a growth-focused technology and public policy leader with over 25 years of
experience working at the intersection of business, government, technology and
entrepreneurship.

His career spans leadership roles across technology companies, industry associations and
non-profit organisations, including Microsoft, GitHub, FICCI and the Project Management
Institute. This experience has given him a perspective that cuts across businesses and
policymakers, large technology companies and startups, and the commercial and public
dimensions of technology adoption.

At IndiaTech, Dhiraj leads the organisation’s work on technology policy, regulatory
engagement, ecosystem growth and institutional development. He works closely with
founders, policymakers, regulators and other stakeholders on issues shaping India’s digital
and technology economy, including AI, digital platforms, cybersecurity, digital commerce
and emerging technologies.

Dhiraj is passionate about entrepreneurship, institution building and the role of technology
in driving economic and social progress. He is also an active mentor to startup founders and
young public policy professionals, teaches technology policy to postgraduate students, and
invests in early-stage digital businesses.

He brings a distinctive ability to connect policy with business realities, and believes that
the most effective public policy is built through informed dialogue between government,
industry and the wider ecosystem.
